Summer Hair

[info]stutefish and I got haircuts. You probably already know what the befores looked like; here are the afters:

Lori had hers cut first. Not drastic, but significant. It was the end of a 4 year run for her.

A few days later, I cut mine. Big difference; It had been about 1 year of mostly uncontrolled growth.

Overall the subject matter of the photo is good. The miscellaneous kitchen items in the background give a utilitarian flavor. The lighting and your expression do cast shadows on what your "utilitarian" motives may be. As we identify with the protagonist we must ask if we are seeing the our own light in the dark, or the darkness in the light?
